The Independent Citizens Movement has rejected the resolution adopted at the Extraordinary Council Meeting of 21 October 2026 to convert fixed-term contracts of senior managers and other City of Ekurhuleni employees into permanent employment.
ICM is calling for implementation of the resolution to be suspended pending legal review and for serious allegations surrounding the decision to be investigated by the appropriate authorities.
